The unique dark exterior finish on Samuel Groves’ Mermaid Hard Anodised range is the result of an electro-chemical procedure that hardens the outside layer of aluminium to produce a more durable surface. It is typically twice as durable as stainless steel and will never blister, flake, or peel.

Over time, if used correctly, our Hard Anodised items will develop a patina that will make them nearly nonstick. Professional chefs prefer aluminium as it heats up quickly and cooks evenly.
